Her experience in her words:
My trip to South Africa was an eye opener because I didn’t expect it to be so beautiful. It is one of those places that, once visited, sticks with you for long after you’ve left, leaving a mark that you didn’t anticipate. Whether it’s the people, the culture, the scenery or some combination of all of the above, there is something about the country that compels you to want to explore more.
During my time there, my family and I immersed ourselves in South Africa’s history, spoke to people about life during apartheid, woke up at dusk and dawn to track animals THE BIG FIVE at Madikwe Game Reserve in Johannesurg, took a historical tour to Soweto where we visited the gold mines, Nelson Mandela’s house and the famous Gandhi square.
The very next day we left for George which is the Western Cape of South Africa and very different from the Northern side, it had valleys, sea, hills, mountains and wildlife. It was like a scenery which always I wanted to paint. From here we drove down to Cape Town, the most beautiful city in the world. Here we had an amazing time roaming on the streets, doing shopping, trying African cuisines and sightseeing. We visited the table mountain, Bokaap, Green market, signal hill and took the most amazing drive to Cape point where the two oceans meet. In other words, we had an unforgettable journey.
With only 10 days spent in South Africa, I know I barely scratched the surface when it comes to everything there is to do, but I did have several incredible moments worth highlighting. Here are the photos from the amazing trip.
